Twilight director David Slade eating humble pie

Twilight Eclipse director David Slade is still ruminating on a large chunk of humble pie.

A while back, way before he landed the director job on Eclipse, he commented that the only way he would ever go see a Twilight movie was “at gunpoint.”

After this info was leaked, fans revolted. Why was a guy who hates Twilight directing the second installment?

Slade apologized profusely “I have since seen the movie and read the books and was quickly consumed with the rich storytelling and the beautifully honest characters that Stephenie Meyer created.”

Ha! That´s not just an apology, that´s plain sucking up! I like that, because Slade looks like a bit of a jerk. It´s quite difficult to find a picture of the guy where he isn´t giving someone the finger. That says a lot about a person´s likeability, don´t you think?

True, Slade´s Thirty days of night was one hell of a film and I applaud him for his work, but no need to be such a big baby and put other movies down, especially not when you haven´t seen them yet!

Hot Eclipse star Kellan Lutz who plays Emmett Cullen backed the director up: “if he didn’t see it and if he didn’t like it, it doesn’t mean he’s not talented,” Lutz told Access.

Not a great defence, mind you, because if Slade didn´t see Twilight, why did he say he didn´t like it? And if he saw it and didn´t like it he´s bending the truth a teensie weensie bit by gushing about how much he loves it now. It doesn´t really make any sense. But thanks Kellan, at least you´re cute.
