Stephenie Meyer has signed on for another movie franchise

There’s no stopping Twilight writer Stephenie Meyer! Apart from the blockbuster Twilight series that are an amazing hit both as bestselling books and blockbuster movies, she has now entered on a new movie franchise for her other book: The Host.

The host is aimed at slightly older readers and is about the near future, when the earth is dominated by an alien race called “The Souls”. One of these Souls is wandering the planet with a dying human, trying to find a hidden enclave of the remaining human race.

Stephenie meyer has been fighting off offers to turn her best selling books into movies ever since the first Twilight movie hit the cinemas and finally found the perfect people to make the movie in director Andrew Niccol, who wrote The Truman Show, and producers Nick Wechler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz.
