Her skill doesn't lie in the 'bringing from the soul' just look at her facial expressions in New Moon. Also, James Wood is assuming too much that his acting abilities would produce a movie that may be considered for 'oscar material'. Kristen is ok and at some times pretty good but no where near being a 'great actor' at this point. She's spending too much time creating material for paparazzi to destroy her character.
